We are now in our 15th year of dancing and creating together here at Maple Street Dance Space, and we are pleased to present as always, a wonderfully eclectic and diverse, selection of dance and dance theater, to celebrate!

One thing that defines Maple Street is our intention to support dance and dancers from EVERYWHERE, whether across the oceans or across town!  In this spirit here is a quick glimpse into our line up, and some of the beautiful ways we connect and support each other - our "Unity in Diversity, through Dance"!

MSDS Contemporary Dance instructor, Kristin Lucero, will be dancing with Studio Sway owner, Elyse Fahey in a beautiful contemporary duet.
Our youngest choreographer, Maya Rae Montana - and keep an eye on her, she is sure to do great things in the dance world! - will presenting a piece featuring 3 three of her contemporaries, from Keshet Dance
Emmaly Weiderholdt, (Stance On Dance & ABQ Dance Exchange) Miles Firkins (MSDS Contemporary dance instructor & ABQ Dance Exchange) and dance theater artist Avalon Jay, will present a unique dance theater piece.
Original and contemporary fusion dance, Ballet-Afrique will have a short new peice, created by Romy Keegan.
Sweet Jubilee Girls artistic director & choreographer, Eva Stricker and her students will present a couple solo vintage jazz dances from the 1920's & 30's.  And tapper Grady Rueler offers up some sweet soft shoe, to music from the same era.
Kellie Villicano of Ka La Kapu Polynesian Dance School, and her students, will be presenting an ancient style Hula piece.
Karina Oliver, MSDS & Bianca Lily Ballet teacher, will present her dedicated and inspiring adult ballet students.
We'll have a taste of West African from Mahiri who, will be presenting a piece called, "Back Home", accompanied with live drumming.
And, I am honored to say, my (Romy's) sweet mom, Gina Shaw, a lifetime dancer and one time studio owner herself, has stepped in to create a piece of choreography for her daughter - a very dear and special reunion between not only mother and daughter, but also between early, informative dance teacher & student!

Please join us for lite refreshments, after each performance <3
