Romy Keegan

Romy Keegan is a Steward of the Seven Directions, and a joyful, lifelong dancer and Magick Maker, from the “Land of Enchantment”, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Community dance pioneer of twenty-five-plus years, previous owner of Maple Street Dance Space (2004-2024), creator of Dance de la Terre original community dance (2013), and founder of Dancing Our Magick, (2022) she is also a teacher, performer and choreographer, an energy healer, mystic, and NOSC sacred space holder and integration coach, as an Associate Luminary with aWake Community Church – ALL in loving and grateful service to the Wild Natural Divine that is guiding her.

As a third generation dancer and lifelong student of both Dance and Spirit, her whole life has been filled with movement and meaningful, magickal experiences.  In 2019 and 2020 she had a series of particularly revelatory mystical experiences which resulted one, in a miraculous personal healing from liver failure, and two, the inspired formation and development of Dancing Our Magick: Dancing the Directions to Awaken a Magickal Life.

This concept began during the world wide reset of 2020, as a powerful “upload” from Mother Earth Herself, through unexpected yet undeniable inner guidance from the archetypal and historic Goddess, Asherah.  Inspired by direct revelations, visions and experiential integrations, Romy created a ceremonial dance prayer to honor, embody, and practice, the Teachings and Rememberings, awakened within her.  This offering originally premiered in 2021 as part of Albuquerque Dance Connect’s Springtime Choreographer’s Showcase.  It then progressed into a workshop series incorporating dance as embodied ceremony, while sharing both general and personal concepts of experiential magick, the fundamental ideas and correlations of universal, animistic and ancestral spiritual traditions, world wide.  It has now evolved into an online and in person dance and magick community, which includes the original dance ceremony workshops, seasonal talks, healing circles, private sessions and lessons, and a dynamic and original adult dance program for everyday dancers.

Every part of Romy’s work, her play, is focused on nourishing and replenishing the Heart, Mind, Body and Spirit of the Divine Magickal Child, and the Collective Soul of the World.
