About the technique:
The Luigi Technique was created by film and stage dancer Luigi (born Eugene Louis Faccuito) to recover from debilitating injuries he suffered in a car accident. It builds control, fluidity, balance and precision, through exercises adapted from ballet, modern, and jazz styles. Luigi’s motto: “Never Stop Moving,” remains the key to his gentle, yet demanding style.

About Lorie: Ms. House is a dance teacher and choreographer. A professional dancer in NYC in the 80s and 90s, she arrived in NY with little formal technique and threw herself into studying with the best, including Luigi himself. Performance credits include Off-Broadway, Film, Music Video, TV, as well as concert work performed at Lincoln Center, the Joyce Theater, DIA and DTW, among others. Her own choreography has been presented in the US and Canada, receiving critical acclaim. Lorie rediscovered the Luigi technique after a long hiatus from dance, and became convinced of its validity as a classical form that supports the demands of most styles of dance, as well as its worth as an injury prevention and rehabilitation technique. She recently attended a Luigi teachers’ intensive in NYC, taught by Francis Roach.
